ASAE & The Center’s 5K Fun Run/Walk
Sunday, August 22
6:00 – 7:15 a.m.
ASAE & The Center's fun run/walk will be a 3 mile run/walk through downtown LA. Runners and walkers will be grouped separately and led by a team of local tour guides. There will not be an official competition but unofficially we'll be watching. Space is limited so make your reservation to join us. Your registration fee will serve as a tax deductible donation to The Midnight Mission and you will receive a receipt whether you run, walk or just want to contribute.
Route
Participants will meet on the Nokia Plaza at LA Live, directly across the street from the Staples Center. Once the tour begins we will pass by the Grammy Museum, and then it's on to the Original Pantry Café, an LA landmark since 1924. From there we will head over to the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, one of the country's most grand and historic hotels, and then it's over to the Disney Concert Hall, an architectural master and home to the LA Philharmonic. On the way back, we will descend down the Spanish Steps to the Los Angeles Central Library, the 3rd largest library in the U.S., and through the Maguire Gardens with its many graceful sculptures and distinctive fountains. The tour will conclude back at LA Live where you'll enjoy finish line refreshments.
Thank you!
