4:30-7:30 p.m. Opening Celebration: San Diego, DiverseCity

Oh What a Day on San Diego's Big Bay! The Opening Reception in Embarcadero Park will showcase a sampling of San Diego’s unique diversity of cultures, regional cuisines, and enticing attractions.
At this opening celebration you will experience a sampling of Old Town, the birthplace of California, and savor the colorful sights, sounds and tastes of Mexico. Discover San Diego’s Little Italy, where its art and festivals have as much flavor as its espresso and its cuisine offers up tantalizing aromas of Italian sausage and the charm of the culture. Then experience a little play while visiting our Beaches & Bays, not to mention all the other delights you’re going to enjoy along the way.
So come and surround yourself with larger than life art. Hear the best of San Diego’s music scene and the artists who make us move. Enjoy a spectacular summer afternoon and early evening of pleasure and adventure as you dine and play, as the sun sets over San Diego Bay.
This Opening Event will allow you to experience San Diego right from the start and will provide the opportunity for you to get to know your colleagues in a fabulously enticing and interactive setting.

The Open Evening is for exhibitor entertaining and for you to explore San Diego's night life on your own. We also offer two optional evening events listed below for separate purchase that may tickle your fancy for entertainment on Sunday. Or if you always wanted to learn a little more about golf, or have made a resolution to get fit and more, take advantage of our personal enrichment programs that are included in your registration fee. So take tonight to enjoy San Diego or the company of industry colleagues at one of the other evening options.

After a long day filled with exhibits and education, it may be tempting to retire to your room for the evening and gear up for another long day. Resist that urge! Take part in our new Personal Enrichment programs to reconnect with an old hobby or learn something new while networking with your colleagues. Get some tips on your golf game. Dance your way to fitness. Learn valuable stress reduction techniques. Discover the history and culture of San Diego. Choose your own path towards personal enrichment while connecting with like-minded peers. Recharge your body, mind and spirit for the rest of the meeting, and rediscover the key to your future success: YOU!

6:00-7:00 p.m. ASAE & The Center's Food & Wine Classic VIP reception

VIP guests will enjoy a private reception with the chefs and one of America's top sommeliers before the general festivities begin.
7:00-9:30 p.m. ASAE & The Center's Food & Wine Classic Fundraising Event

Enjoy the magic of the Midway at this spectacular fundraising event! Live music, great food and wine will merge aboard the USS Midway for the second annual ASAE & The Center’s Food & Wine Classic. Several teams, each including a top chef, an association executive and a sponsor, will tempt you with superb culinary delights, all while you enjoy live music, a live auction and endless networking opportunities. Plus, enjoy a vast array of wine and beverage selections courtesy of our beverage sponsors. Once you are done sampling, you get to cast your vote to decide who should be named: Association Top Chef!

  7:00-10:00 p.m. Grand Finale Block Party Event: Taking it to the Streets
Join us in the Gaslamp Quarter for a block party to end all block parties! Tuesday night, the Gaslamp will be all yours... to feast anywhere and everywhere throughout six city blocks reserved just for ASAE & The Center's participants. You will be able to sample as many of these fabulous restaurants as your heart desires.
Party San Diego style, as you enjoy star-studded entertainment from stage to stage, mingle with friends, browse the boutiques and dance in the streets. And if a few days in San Diego doesn't seem like enough, we encourage you to take time to wind down before you wind up.
Come for the convention... stay for the vacation!
