Scholarships Available
Though the economy continues to improve we understand economic times are still tough, especially for smaller associations. The 2011 Annual Meeting & Exposition offers critical educational content combined with an opportunity to make helpful connections that will help organizations survive the times. We are ready to do everything we can to ensure association executives, especially those leading smaller associations, can reap the benefits of this year's event.
Member Assist
In partnership with ASAE-Endorsed Business Solutions Partners, we have created the Member Assist program. Member Assist will offer 30 small-staff association C-level executives* and 30 additional association executives at all levels the opportunity to attend the 2011 Annual Meeting & Expo, learn new skills, and make valuable contacts that will help launch them and their organizations into a successful future.
*Small-staff is defined as 5 or less employees.
Applications were due June 3, 2011. They are now being reviewed and all applicants will be notified of the decision by June 30.
The Member Assist program is made possible in part through the support of ASAE-Endorsed Business Solutions Partners; vetted, top-quality business products and services designed to help association professionals save time and add dollars to their bottom line.
Qualification Criteria:
- Applicant must not have received a Member Assist Scholarship for 2009 or 2010 Annual Meeting & Expo;
- Applicant must be an Association Executive, (not an industry supplier or consultant member);
- Applicant must have been an ASAE member for at least one year;
- Applicant must not be currently registered for the meeting;
- Organization must have an annual revenue of less than five million dollars; and
- Award is limited to only one recipient per organization.
Terms
Applicant must agree to the following:
- ASAE-Endorsed Business Solutions is responsible for covering registration fees;
- Applicant is responsible for costs associated with hotel, all transportation, food, and incidentals;
- The Meetings & Expo Team will work with St. Louis hotels to offer a reduced rate at select hotels;
- Recipients must visit the ASAE-Endorsed Business Solutions Gateway (Aisle 800) on the Expo Hall.
- Recipients are required to schedule appointments with at least two ASAE-Endorsed partners of their choice during the Annual Meeting in the Business Connection Lounge. (Meetings must be scheduled in advance of the Annual Meeting.);
- If not able to attend for any reason, applicant responsible for no show fee of $395 to cover associated costs;
- There are a limited number of scholarships; and
- If received 2009 or 2010 scholarship, applicant is not eligible to receive a scholarship in 2011.
